This is interesting. It looks like it would be a good first sweater pattern for people. See what you think: Custom-Fit Raglan. There's not a picture, but you know what a raglan pullover looks like.
"I made this raglan as a pullover, but it would be just as easy to do as a cardigan. The pattern is basically a good one (it's knit from the top down, by the way), but be careful about the neck measurement. The designer has you measure your neck--snugly--and multiply by your gauge. The problem is that there's absolutely no ease. I added 2 inches, I think, to my neck measurement, and the sweater came out perfect. I ended up using a rolled neckline, which I love. For what it's worth, I always measure a favorite sweater rather than my own body to get most of the measurements for a new sweater (I did measure my own neck, though). If I'm making a bulky sweater, I measure a bulky one; for a fine sweater, I measure a fine one. If anyone is interested in making this sweater and would like to see mine, let me know and I'll bring it to the shop--if I'm not already wearing it, given this cool weather.
